America's Most Promising CEOs Under 35

The young chiefs on our list of America’s Most Promising Companies may not be household names–yet–but each runs a dynamic, high-growth business with bright prospects for the future.

Consider Sean Kelly, the 29 year-old head of HUMAN Healthy Vending. Before devoting his energies to selling vending machines filled with healthy snacks, Kelly racked up medals in national snowboarding competitions. He graced our 30 Under 30 last year.

In the “true prodigy” division, we have Aaron Bell, 34, of AdRoll, which sells retargeting software to advertisers. Bell first joined the working world as a 15 year-old developer for Microsoft. Last year his company raked in $34 million in sales, more than double 2011′s take.

As one of the youngest on our list, 26 year-old Quirky CEO Ben Kaufman has raised more than $90 million in venture capital from top tier firms like Andreessen Horowitz. His company runs an online community that votes on invention ideas, then finances manufacturing and distribution for the winners.

With 22 of our top 100 promising companies run by CEOs under 35, youth made a strong showing this year. These are young tycoons to keep on your radar.
